Those of us in TTWD often talk about how we struggle. Our struggle to serve. Our struggle to submit. Our struggle to balance what for many is two lives. We talk about our families, our friends, our lovers and even our pets. As a community we bind ourselves to other bloggers and offer words of wisdom and encouragement. We share in each others pain. We laugh at each others stories and jokes. We become family.
In my effort to share Autism awareness, I am sharing with you some of my favorite vanilla blogs. These blogs all have one common factor, Autism. I am not asking you to follow them. i do not expect you to comment. I only ask that you check them out and maybe offer up a prayer, a blessing or an affirmation to whatever deity you observe.

The other day I watched the movie Horse Boy, which is the story of a boy with autism and his journey across Mongolia with his parents. While I thought the film itself was not good, the window into the life a family can lead with an autistic child was all too apparent. Having dealt with people on the autistic spectrum for many years, I have nothing but admiration for how families cope.
